Italian wine: amount time


Vinitaly 2012, time to balances and analysis for the best Italian wine.
We start from a given: in the last 2011 Italians have spent more on mineral water than wine. The voice mineral water has recorded a spending equal to 19 euros per month per family, while the wine is at a share of 18 euros per month.


Purchases of wine has drop of 1% in respect to a year ago. It has gone from 40 l per person in one year to 30 l. Data have been rattld on the occasion of Vinitaly 2012 by Coldiretti, which also showed a greater propensity for quality rather than quantity.

Exports of red wines, white wines and Italian sparkling wine continue to give us satisfaction. Italian wine has been drunk more abroad than in Italy. The year 2011 was a record year, but, in contrast, increased by 42% of wine imports from abroad, especially from Spain, from which more than half of the imported wine in the country, tripling within a year the level of exports. Also interesting are the data concerning the production of Italian wine: 40 million of hectoliters, against the Spanish 39 hectoliters, who are following suit. So buy red wine
