The most expensive wine of the world

Have you ever wondered what the most expensive wine in the world is?
Unfortunately it is not an Italian wine but a wine of our cousins across the Alps, a rare and prized Bordeaux Cheval Blanc.
Vintage 1947, the Bordeaux Cheval Blanc, a 6-liter imperial, holds the enviable record of most expensive wine in the world.
In fact it has been auctioned by Christies in for the modest sum of $ 304,375, amounting to € 223,610! On balance we are talking about 37,250 € per liter!

Found in a secret cellar by an anonymous collector, the Cheval Blanc was produced in Saint-Emilion, in the wine region of Bordeaux.
Mentioned even in the masterpiece of animation Ratatouille (even the dreaded character of Anton Ego visiting the restaurant Gusteau's, ordered a bottle of Chateau Cheval Blanc, vintage 1947), this wine can easily be compared to a Vuitton’s clutch or a Ferrari, as the top of the top, used as a benchmark for all other Bordeaux.

If, as the famous adage says, good wine never gets old, there are good reasons to assume that despite the passage of time, this wine has maintained its flavor. It is believed by the wine expert Michael Ganne who called it "one of the greatest Bordeaux of all time," which may "be preserved and still tasted in 50 years without any problem".
Although, to be honest, the world's most expensive wine is the Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1869, sold by Sotheby's in Hong Kong for only € 170,000 for 0.75 liters.

If we content of the best Italian wines,we mere mortals can quitly go in the wine shop next door or visit an online wine shop, hoping to find some prestigious bottles.
