Have you ever wondered what the most expensive wine in the world is?
Unfortunately it is not an Italian wine but a wine of our cousins across the Alps, a rare and prized Bordeaux Cheval Blanc.
Vintage 1947, the Bordeaux Cheval Blanc, a 6-liter imperial, holds the enviable record of most expensive wine in the world.
In fact it has been auctioned by Christies in for the modest sum of $ 304,375, amounting to € 223,610! On balance we are talking about 37,250 € per liter!

Wine: record numbers for the Italian wines export

This year, the wine gives the numbers! And what numbers!
According to the latest Coldiretti analysis, on the basis of ISTAT ( Italian Official Statistics Istituts) data relating to foreign trade, has emerged that the numbers of Italian wines bottles have been exported abroad for more than two billion, with a turnover of 3.7 billion euro and a 9% of increase relative to the previous year. A good result for Italian wines!

Vertical tasting of Tignanello and Solaia in Sorrento

The last 20th of December in an elegant Sorrento, dressed up with the Christmas colors, there was a prestigious event for all good wine lovers: The vertical tasting of Tignanello and Solaia in magnum and double magnum.
Theatre of the event has been the restaurant O 'Canonico 1898, a gathering of good taste that mixes wisely the flavors of the Sorrento’s traditional cuisine with the culinary innovations.
