Vitamin D e olive oil

The secret to fight osteoporosis? Vitamin D and olive oil!
These are the results of a research conducted by the University of Naples Federico II, on the strength of the assumption that it is the lack of Vitamin D in the diet one of the causes of osteoporosis, a disease that affects more than four and a half million of Italians, a bone malfunction involving the increased risk of fractures due to a decrease in mass and changes in bone microarchitecture.

In nature, foods rich in vitamin D include liver, some fish, like salmon, fish oil, such as healthy, but not exactly greedy, cod liver oil, eggs, butter and milk.
The same researcher Annamaria Colao said that "we must take more vitamin D, but the richest food source of this vitamin is cod liver oil, which did not taste for the most part of the people. The other food rich in this vitamin is the salmon but it is not really on our tables every day. For this reason we have decided to use the DOP extra virgin olive oil, addicted with vitamin D, in this way we hope to reach the tables of all Italians”.

The mix of vitamima D and olive oil seems to be a valuable ally combating the onset of osteoporosis, aided by the taste and versatility in the cuisine. On the market there are many Italian olive oil shop, so eye to the purchase of extra virgin olive oil!
