Evening Champagne in Sorrento


Bubbles... a French passion which has conquered the Italians. There is nothing to make: fizzy bubbles are synonymous with luxury and festivity, and give that extra touch to any dish. Great to drink on special occasions, champagne is the typical French product par excellence.
The restaurant O 'Canonico, one of the most renowned Sorrento's historic restaurants, has decided to devote an evening to the French champagne, strictly in magnum size. The event was held Friday, December the 2nd.

 Each dish has been designed to enhance the taste of Champagne. For those who want to mouth-watering here the menu:

Cod tartar on pizzaiola sauce

Magnum of Philipponnat BRUT &
mullet fillets on tempura sauce on broccoli pie and Mediterranean sauce

Wild black rice with vegetables and chicken, with curry with toasted almonds strip

Magnum of Louis Roederer Brut &
Pacchera fried sea bass stuffed with cream of artichoke on

Fried paccheri filled with sea bass on artichoke soup

Magnum of Jacquesson CUVE 735 & Shellfish variation:
a) skewer of tempura mussels in fennel stew.
b) Clams baked with parsley bread on tomato confit
c) small jar with little filled raviolo with tomato and lemon shrimp, the lot cooked at low temperature

Cassata Semifreddo, candied cherry chocolate waffle and lotus cherry...

Moreover, Canonico  is not stranger to these evenings, which revolve around a specific theme, with a formula that includes five courses plus dessert, with combinations of dishes and fine and rare wines, and also an occasion to buy red wine from one of the most supplied wine cellars of the city.
