Biol: the organic olive oil prize

Organic extra virgin olive oil even more protagonist in a return to healthy authentic and genuine food.
It has been multiplied the awards dedicated to one of the cornerstones of our diet. Among the latest events we want to highlight you the XVI edition of the Premio Biol which will be held on April 26th to 28th, 2011, in Andria (BT). The city, which has a long and ancient tradition in the olive oil cultivation, is part of the “National Association of Oil City”.

The festival winks not only to Italian extra virgin olive oil, but also to the foreigner oils. Also this year there has been a boom of participants: over 380 from 19 countries, including Argentina, Greece, Portugal and Spain. The jury is characterized by its international character, having regard to the presence of buyers from all over the world.

Among the news of this latest award the dedicated to design labels and the eco-friendly furnishings made from recycled materials.

Wednesday, April 27th 2011: Second tranche of oil tasting, tour and conference, Biol dinner

Thursday, April 28, 2011: Assignment of BiolKids recognition, a prize awarded by the jury accompanied by a representative group of elementary school children in Andria, meeting between buyers and producers and wine tastings, shows "A World of Oil", the exhibition features the bottles of nations participants, Forum "Organic Olive between innovation and tradition" and prize giving.
