Italian Wine to the top


Good news for the Italian wine, which has conquests the American market. In 2009 in the United States there has been a real sales boom, a sign that Americans loves Italian wine, especially sparkling wine. In 2003 sparkling wine bottles exported overseas were about 500,000, while last year there has been a spike in exports, with over 1,600,000 bottles sold abroad.
Encouraging numbers that underscore the local wine high quality and indicate a bright future for this branch. The positive trend was also emphasized by the prestigious Newsweek, which has compared the “noble” champagne with our prosecco, highlighting its high quality and its appeal.
Concrete results, exposed in the recent Italian Wine Master, itinerary tour that has like stage Chicago and New York on behalf of the three famous Tuscan denomination like Brunello, Chianti classic and Vino nobile di Montepulciano whit the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore. Last year the Made in Italy wine has excelled in all the continents, walloping the French historical rivals. The Italian national farmers association has confirmed this positive trend. In 2008, in fact, the Italian wine exportations has reached about 3,5 billiard of euros, thanks especially to the German and Usa requests, passing in 12 month from a 7% share to an encourancing 9.6%. Favorable numbers than make a positive balance on the future.
