Still good news from Italian wines

Vinitaly, international exhibition of wines and spirits, has closed down its 44th edition with giddiness numbers: operators from foreign countries have increased their presence of the 4.4%, while the visitors have been in total 152,000. Also noteworthy is the presence of many foreign operators and the presence of President of Republic Giorgio Napolitano, who has reaffirmed the institutions interest in this expanding branch.
Vinitaly has been therefore a very good meeting point between demand and supply in the area of Italian wine selling, through, apart some cracks in the sales number due to the period of global crisis, promises a bright future. Wine experts delegates from Russia, the United States, Canada, Australia, Asia and Far East have visited, indeed, the Exposition.
Also noteworthy is the growth of online Italian wine selling, emerged during the meeting "Wine, Web and Social Networks: Opportunities and Responsibility", showing that social networks, blogs, twitter, Facebook and YouTube are the new frontiers of the marketing tools, being understood that the wine chain traceability is an added value.
The web is indeed a very direct marketing, simple and effective, through which the consumer has many information.
Vinitaly has also saw the presence of the famous French actor Gerard Depardieu, a great admirer of the "nectar of Bacchus" and testimonials of the Friuli Venezia Giulia pavillon. Then, after the pass that is produced in Pantelleria, the actor, sipping a delicious white wine, has declared that it intends to expand its business in the Friuli region.
Another small victory for Italy, after the overtaking of the local champagne on the emblazoned champagne, has seen a Frenchman promoting Italian wines!
