Walnuts pie



Winter, long and rainy days , cold air and want to stay at home ...

What's better than a nice cake to brighten up the atmosphere? So much better if you make a delicious walnut cake, a simple and tasty cake made with flour, eggs, chopped walnuts and butter.
Soft and characterized by a velvety texture, is enhanced by an icing sugar cover or, for the sweet tooth, as basis for filling it with chocolate cream.


Ingredients: 

• 250 grams of walnuts
• 4 eggs
• 200 grams of butter
• 200 grams of sugar
• 150 grams of cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon of baked powder
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract


Preparation: 

Chop the walnuts with 50 grams of sugar until the mixture is similar to flour. Mix butter and sugar until the mixture is soft and fluffy, then add one egg at a time. Then add the vanilla.
It’s now time for flour, walnuts, cornstarch, baking powder and vanilla powder. Mix well and pour a mold previously buttered and floured.

Bake at 180 ° for 50 - 60 minutes.

The cake with walnuts is perfect if accompanied by a Passito, one of the best Italian wines . A full and soft wine, with hints of ripe fruit, readily available at any wine shop.
