Olive oil ice cream



Summer is the season of ice cream. Gone are the days of the classic ice cream, the ice cream master pastry imagination has been satisfied in the creation of the proposed new and original.


Enough with the boring fruit or chocolate ice cream. It 's time of nouvelle cuisine cup size. Then go ahead with the ice cream taste of our homegrown excellence. So we have the basil ice cream, Parmesan cheese ice cream and and even the ice cream the olive oil. Yeah, that's right, ice cream with olive oil, a new way to enjoy one of our core food, great not only as a dessert, but also in combination with other dishes.

For those wishing to try with their hand in its preparation, here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
800 ml of milk
200 ml of fresh cream
200 grams of sugar
200 grams of extra virgin olive oil
10 grams of salt

Procedure:
Put the milk in a saucepan and heat, taking care to not to bring it to a boil. Once hot, add sugar and salt and stir to mix. Cool the mixture and slowly add the refined olive oil.
At this point put the mixture thus obtained in the ice cream maker, or alternatively, pour into a baking dish and allow to freeze a whole night. Just before serving, chop the mixture thus obtained and pass into the mixer to cream.
Put the olive oil ice cream in bowls and garnish with parmesan cheese.
